We're well into Capricorn season now, and people who have their Sun, Ascendant or many planets in this practical down to earth sign of the zodiac in many ways form the backbone of society.
Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, the planet of discipline, hard work, life's lessons, and deferred gratification. Saturn energy is what keeps us inside working on a nice sunny day, what makes us plan and save money for future necessities, and what gives caution to our impulse to dive into things blindly.
Like the mountain goat that rarely stumbles on its way to the summit of the peak, Capricorns don't often make mistakes on their patient journey to achieve their goals.
When out of balance, the negative side of Capricorn will be on display; autocratic, harsh, demanding, rigid, heavy, and overly adhering to structures of authority. To counteract these tendencies, Capricorns need to try and be a bit spontaneous once in a while, realize that we sometimes work better after relaxing for a spell, that sometimes rules need to be broken, and that there are other things in life worth striving for other than career goals and material security.
